Privacy policy
Last updated September 24, 2026
This policy explains how Shipyourday handles information in the iPhone and iPad app and at shipyourday.com. The service is operated by Patrick Jacobsen in Sweden. For privacy requests, email support@shipyourday.com. See the legal contact details for the seller's address and phone number.
Your Library and shared Spaces
The app stores your links, notes, files, photos and organization on your device or in the storage location you choose. iCloud features use Apple’s iCloud and CloudKit services and require an Apple Account. There is no separate Shipyourday account, and the app does not upload your personal Library to a Shipyourday-operated content server.
If you share a Space, Apple’s CloudKit makes the selected content and sharing permissions available to the people you invite. Those people may keep copies they export. Removing access cannot recall copies they already made. Apple handles iCloud information under its own privacy policy.
Purchases and optional permissions
Apple handles subscription billing. Shipyourday reads signed StoreKit purchase information, including the product, expiration and revocation status, to determine access. We do not receive your payment card details through the app. Apple may make sales and subscription reports available to the developer in App Store Connect.
Features that use photos, camera, contacts or notifications ask for the relevant iOS permission. You choose what to import or share. Imported material becomes part of your Library or related app data. You can change permissions in iOS Settings.
Links, previews and video
When the app fetches a saved link’s title, thumbnail or other remote media, it contacts the source website or media host. That provider may receive the requested URL, your IP address and technical request information. Some previews load automatically when you save or view a link. Opening a link in another app or browser follows that destination’s privacy practices.
The embedded YouTube player loads only after you choose to load a video. At that point Google/YouTube may process network, device and playback information. The player uses YouTube’s privacy-enhanced domain and temporary web storage; these measures do not mean Google receives no information. Shipyourday uses YouTube API Services for playback. See Google’s privacy policy and YouTube’s terms. A previously fetched thumbnail is separate from loading the player.
Diagnostics, support and website
The app uses Apple’s diagnostic facilities and local logs for stability and performance. It has no separate third-party in-app analytics SDK in this release. Apple may make diagnostics available according to your Apple diagnostic-sharing choices.
If you email support, we receive your email address and the message and attachments you send through Apple iCloud Mail. We use them to answer you, investigate problems, prevent abuse and meet applicable obligations. We normally delete support correspondence after 24 months, or retain it longer when a legal obligation or unresolved dispute requires it. Please remove private Library content from screenshots before sending them.
Vercel hosts this website and processes request information to deliver and secure it. Vercel Web Analytics provides aggregate information about visits, pages, referrers, approximate country and browser or device type. It does not use third-party analytics cookies. Read Vercel’s analytics privacy information and privacy notice. Optional links to other services, such as Discord, take you to their own services.
Why information is processed
Where European or UK data-protection law applies, information needed to provide the app or respond to a service request is processed to perform the contract. Necessary security, support and service-improvement work may rely on legitimate interests, balanced against your rights. Records required by law are processed to meet legal obligations. Where consent is required, you may withdraw it for future processing. Recipients can include Apple, website and email service providers, people you choose to share with, and authorities when the law requires disclosure. These services may process information outside your country. We do not sell your Library content.
Retention and your choices
Your Library remains until you delete it or remove its storage. Sync, caches, backups and recently deleted data may take time to clear. Apple and your chosen storage provider set their own retention rules. Subscription cancellation does not delete content. Use the app to view, export or delete your Library; use Apple settings for iCloud data and subscriptions.
You may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing, receive a portable copy, and withdraw consent where applicable. Email support@shipyourday.com about information we hold, such as support correspondence. We cannot retrieve a Library held only on your device. You may complain to your local data-protection authority, including Sweden’s IMY.
Changes
We will update this page when the product or its data practices change. The date above shows when this version was updated. Where law requires additional notice or consent, we will provide it before the new processing begins.
